Got a bottle for only $65 due to store’s mistake. Neat, no water Nose: heavy peat and smoke but not overwhelming, there’s charred oak, honey, raisin, slight sulphur. Palate: starts with that oily honey sweetness, a little waxy and tad salty, then the signature campbeltown funk follows. it’s hot, the high abv is obvious. Finish: hmmm Long finish with earthy smoke and trace of sweetness linger for a long time, the heat remains but slowly warm down. For $65, I should’ve bought another, this is delicious!

Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 25, 2019 (edited September 30, 2020)Floral nose, kinda reminded me hibiki Japanese harmony. Mouth watery, light sweetness at beginning, then the signature waxy feel, hint of salt and smoke, oaky finish. Solid dram, cheers! -
Glenfarclas 25 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 28, 2019 (edited October 20, 2020)Nose: light brown sugar, pear, fruits, caramel, sherry wood but not overwhelming for something sitting in the cask for 25 hrs. Palate: sherry wood spiciness, ginger, full, moderately sweet, a bit of cigar at the end. Not overly complex but smooth. Finish: medium finish, warm, dry, a little bitter but pleasantly presented. 88/100 Very very good scotch and for the price for a 25 yrs old, it’s a steal
