GlenDronach Port Wood

GlenDronach Port Wood was crafted by Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie. The single malt initially aged in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks before finishing its aging in port casks for three years for a total of 10 years of maturation. Bottled without chill-filtration or added color at 46% ABV. It was released in the UK in June 2019 and the US as of November 2020.
Single MaltDistilled in pot stills from 100% malted barley, produced at one distillery, aged in barrels; if Scotch or Irish, must be aged for at least three years.
Cask Typeex-oloroso and ex-Pedro Ximenez casks; finished in port pipes
"The nose shows as a sherry bomb with prunes, sultanas and a touch of rancio, along with warm cherry pie topped with vanilla ice cream. The palate is rich and waxy, with clover honey, berries, ginger chews, candied orange zest and spicy oak. The finish is warming and moderate in length with milk chocolate, fruitcake and peaches in syrup."
