For starters, if you see a bottle, buy one. This is great rum in a traditional sense. It's what you'd expect from a great rum, period. Actually, most people buy "spiced" rums thinking they'll get this. There are heavy heavy notes of pepper, some oak, and just the right balance of molasses sweet in the finish. The strength of this rum lies in the the mid taste that reveals the pepper notes and a slightly dry sea saltish note. If a traditionally well tailored suit were a rum, this is what it would taste like. This is for pirates and the CEOs alike.60.0 USD per Bottle

Hampden Estate 8 Year Pure Single Jamaican Rum
Aged Rum — Jamaica
Reviewed June 5, 2019 (edited July 15, 2021)Unique rum. Lives up to all the hype. Nose is very light despite the full bodied flavor. The finish is particularly spectacular, with heavy notes of cinnamon and caramelized banana. Funky and smooth. I would let the bottle air out for a few days after opening to let the flavors settle. Recommended.70.0 USD per Bottle -
Complex malt start and Interesting rum like finish. The finish is heavier for a scotch. Its a sweetish coffee and toffee flavor thats almost chewy. Try opening, enjoying a quarter of the bottle, and letting the rest develop in the bottle for a month or so. Seems to taste better over time. Worth purchasing at least once...89.0 USD per Bottle

Predictable tasting rum. Very mellow with a traditional, but not very exciting/complex, taste. Not overly sweet, actually the finish leaves you wishing it weren't so dry. Smoothness makes up for this a bit. Can be drank neat comfortably without a splash of water. BUT - way too expensive. There are much better offerings at this price point.. Especially when it comes to rum.55.0 USD per Bottle
