    I was really hoping to love this in a jack daniels and mezcal had a baby way. Its not like that at all. It comes off burnt before you taste the sweetness of the corn. Would not recommend

    Its pretty smooth. Works good in cocktails unlike most anejos. At the same time it can come off as a little boring if sipping. Price can be also vary quite a bit. Unless you can buy it at a grocery store or costco its probably too expensive

    This could change but... Ive only had three mezcals at this point bozal espadin and illegal anejo and this one. Is the illegal the best sipper and the bozal is better straight than this one too. But in a cocktail. This wins in a flip over the table kind of way. Like it hits you in the balls.

    This is bad straight... I have no idea why. I would pick corralejo resposada over this if i had to drink it straight And yes at 28 days it is almost a resposada.. that being said their anejo is probably a much better buy. It does drink ok in a cocktail though but needs alot to overpower the ick

    This is probably the best tequila or mezcal i have had yet. The spice from the aging really tones down the smoke. Just a sipper, its a waste to mix

    Ill be straight up honest with you. I am not a peat person. But when you use this as a modifier it can totally change a drink. Its amazing. I find alot of mixed scotch drinks entirely too sweet using monkey shoulder or other blended. This can fix that i a couple bar spoons

    There's nothing wrong with it, but it could have more spice. Rittenhouse is the best and old forester is good too. I probably won't purchase again

    Its good but I'm not in love with it. Its got a lot of flavor and complex but does have quite a bit of burn even for 115 proof. It need to be watered down to at least 90 proof to get rid of the burn. And at that point it tastes watered down

    This bourbon is underrated. Yes i said it. You know why. How many whiskies 90 proof or lower are rated higher? Not many most are 100 proof or cask strength. Lets face it there is a reason for that. If your drinking a 2 oz pour of cask strength you are probably gonna be a little tipsy. Ive bought many "must buys" and have been disappointed. But not with this
