Weller Antique 107 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 21, 2024 (edited January 22, 2024)Found this at 62$ in the boonies of wyoming. Reminds me of those old library, cozy bookstore, type places with wooden walls and a fire place(wooden, not gas…obviously)where you’d want to have a sip and read. But then that dark wooden cozy bookstore also sells the cheap mcdonalds apple turnovers or something similar…the kind that burns your mouth a little when you bite into. Worth it, at msrp, but not at secondary pricing. This bourbon finishes nice, doesnt burn but stings ya just a bit to buzz the mouth. 9/10 would like this bookstore.62.0 USD per Bottle -
Like walking into a windy corn field after harvest, the dusty corn smell goes away, but that first nose is not that great. Spin the glass a bit, give it another smell, and the cherries pop off. Tried the first sip and coughed as it went down the wrong pipe (probably from the dust of the oringal nosing) My fault. I’m not off to a great start, but bear with me. Mouth feel is soft, not overly viscous, small bite on the back end. Getting green apple (just a hint) and carmel, and that cherry comes through. Easy drinker, nice little entry to wheated bourbons. 10/10 would approve of a 3/5 score. But for the price, if you can find for 30-35$, would definitely not have a hard time having 3-7 pours in a row.35.0 USD per Bottle
