Tastes

I've been drinking the Jefferson's Ocean since Voyage 17. This is one of the better voyages. 19 and 22 were my favorites, while 23, 24, 25, and 26 were bad years for me, if that provides any reference. It seems I've missed 27.

Hard oak, not much else going for it. Nothing otherwise offensive, but not an oak person. If you like Old Elk Four Grain, you'll probably like this.

Tasting this head-to-head against the Double Wheat. You'd better be in the mood for a strong oak(?) profile. If so, you'll love this. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about this, other than go for Double Wheat if you have to choose between the two.

Tasting this head-to-head against Old Elk Four Grain. Cinnamon streusel smell up front, but a crowd pleaser anyone should like any time. Easily pick this over the Four Grain unless you love the strong oak (?) in the Four Grain.
