Green Spot Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed February 8, 2014 (edited December 12, 2018)Personally prefer the Readbreast 12 but similar and close in flavour. A delicious classic pot-still. -
Highland Park 18 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed February 8, 2014 (edited August 10, 2014)Good, but a bit dull - no standout flavour. I just don't get the peat which others talk about, so there are many other peaty whiskies I prefer, especially the Laphroaig. Good, but not a regular on my shelf, especially given the price. -
Bushmills 21 Year Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed February 8, 2014 (edited August 10, 2014)Rich, with grassy almost sauvignon blanc after taste. My all time favourite non-peated. -
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed February 8, 2014 (edited August 10, 2014)Good flavour, but harsher to my taste than any of the Laproaigs or Lagavulins or even Ugediall, which I muck prefer. Softens a little with more water neded because of higher alcohol.
