Balvenie Triple Cask 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 8, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Amazing sherry influence and smooth honey finish! -
Fortunate to find one at my local store and got it for retail of 59.99! I've never had Pappy but this is excellent bourbon BUT not worth paying over $100 for as the secondary market now demands. Weller Antique 107 is close to this but harsher on the palete. Now to start working on blending 107 with other to get close to the taste the taste and smoothness of Old Rip! There is some hotness but really nice caramel, maple and a touch of butterscoth in there too!

Port Charlotte PC7 Sin An Doigh Ileach
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 26, 2015 (edited March 19, 2020)Simply amazing Islay! Comes in at 60% but with a little water opens up beautifully! The nose makes you think you are standing right there at the port next to the sea. The peat is strong but smooth and it yet has a sweet smooth finish! If you see this anywhere... grab it!
