Glenfiddich Select Cask
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed October 15, 2015 (edited January 27, 2016)My wife bought this for me at the Brussels airport. I enjoy speyside scotch but wasn't sure what to expect from this bottling that apparently can only be found in airports. This was my first Glenfiddich. Appearance: light golden yellow. Nose: bread yeast, apples/pear, some citrus, honey. Flavor: sweet, honey, pipe tobacco, green apple. Finish: doesn't linger long, sweet. 84/100 -

Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 14, 2015 (edited April 9, 2016)Enjoyed this, my first scotch blend. Smells of honey and apple/pear. Sweet with some vanilla and orange notes. Smooth and easy to drink. Not too complex and has a quick finish. If you enjoy speyside scotch you will enjoy this. See why it has won awards. Great for a blended scotch and a very reasonable price. $31 for 750ml.
