Nose. Fresh lumber. Pepper. Cherry. Sweet arrival. Oak

Nose: Green apple. Dill. Sweet tea. Honey. Pepper. Taste: Dill— like on a dill pickle potato chip. Black Pepper. Tajin-the Mexican seasoning- salt, chili pepper, lime. Carmel. Raisin. One of the best whiskies I have ever had. And I have had a lot. A must try.

Amazing bourbon. So unique. With every penny. Peanuts. Yep.

Nose: vanilla cake batter. Sweet tea. Butterscotch. Oak. Taste: starts with short sweet note quickly followed by spice.Black pepper. Oak. Lots musty oak, my favorite kind. Dill.

Wow! This is good. My kind of whiskey. This has the leather and must that I like. Balanced just right for me. My current favorite.

I know. It’s Wild Turkey 101. It’s a $21 “bottom shelf” plastic bottle with screw top. But, to be honest, it continues to surprise me, and I like it. It is a quintessential bourbon. One I will continue to turn to and keep on the shelf. An easy pick for the money and a must try for any bourbon fan.

Color: bronze. Nose: honey,sweet tea, speyside scotch, banana, leather, did I just smell playdough?, Carmel. Palate: honey up front but quickly gets spicy- touch of cinnamon, pepper, a bit of must/leather-definitely the rye poking through Solid dram
