Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 8, 2021 (edited June 11, 2021)Golden Amber with nice legs. Beautiful buttery color On the Nose your hit with an array of caramel, cinnamon, Buttery Syrup (think Mrs Buttersworth) smokey powdered sugar. Palate brings out the caramel in a big way but maple syrup and perfect Charred Oak come in later for an absolute delightful, creamy mouthfeel. Simple yet bold and delightful flavor profile. Finish brings out just a bit of subtle pepper that is medium in length. This is suitable for both weekdays as a wonderful sipper - Or to be saved for special occasions to share with loved ones. Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 8, 2021 (edited June 13, 2021)Fancy Bottle filled with light brown juice Nose - Vanilla, Maple, Charred Oak, and a hint of nutmeg (This is where this bourbon peaks) Palate - Oily mouthfeel subtle charred oak, and very light nutmeg (one dimensional at best) Finish - Short finish with oily aftertaste and mouthfeel. No KY burn really to speak of. Smooth drinker, but just not much flavor besides that oily oak.47.0 USD per BottleOur Country House -
Deep Reddish Amber Nose: Maple soaked Cherries floating in a cinnamon syrup Palate: Dark pitted fruits, more maple and subtle, well done char. White Pepper comes in late to the party and somewhat crashes it. Finish - Med short finish a bit of char and pepper but well done char and pepper. Overall - there isnt a much better sip for the price. Great flavor filled 10 year old BT product for under 50 bucks. Hard to beat. Our Country House
