Wow! This is one tasty rye! Uber smooth and mellow, but not in a dad/boring way. perhaps not as spicy as I might like, or expect for a 70% rye, but, still very nice sip.

Sweet faintly floral, mellow Carmel, cigaret ash. Excellent for the price, and shines as a 'smooth sipper' for the proof, but, lacks any complexity found in ECBP or Stagg Jr.

Mellow, sweet, and pretty watered down. Very slight cherry influence and a faint wisp of smoke. I've def had better Japanese whiskey.

wispy smoke, cracked black pepper, and sherry influence. Much more balanced and enjoyable than the normal HP 12yr. Cask strength is sippable neat, and recommended.

Meaty brisket cooked over an open fire seasoned with salt, black pepper and ash. Just a hint of stone fruit and almonds. Simply fantastic.

Banana split Sunday covered in Carmel sauce. Surprisingly smooth and sip-able neat, but also good with a few drops of water. First time buying, and since it is a single barrel the next one might be different, but still one I will now always try to keep open in the cabinet. For $65 bucks, its a no brainer buy-it.
