Tastes

Delicious mellow cereals, velvety mouth feel and slow vanilla finish. Given my limited experience with Irish Whisky, I decided I'd go cask strength for my first bottle of Redbreast. So glad I did! Surprisingly low heat despite its ABV, though I already tend to prefer cask/barrel strength whisk(e)y. A great addition to my cabinet, worth the price.

Pecan, surprisingly spicy , toasted Carmel, slight hint of vanilla. A very good whiskey, an EXCEPTIONAL value.

Smooth, light smoky peat(for a Islay...), grilled meat, salt.

A salty, young whiskey with heavy notes of pipe tobacco on a low, slow, burn. Not my favorite Lagavulin, but not offensive on the palette in any way( as long as you love that Islay funk...). Delicious, and drinks above its price.
