New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon Bottled In Bond
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2019 (edited August 18, 2019)The nose on this is amazing for how young I think it is. Could spend all evening with my nose in the glass. Sweet notes of toffee, brown sugar, mocha are very consistent throughout with a touch of heat on the finish. This is a very, very good pour for $40. This beats Henry McKenna BiB any day of the week. Complex, smooth, easy sipper. 8.9/10 - highly recommended!!39.99 USD per Bottle -
Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon (2018 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2019Incredibly smooth and has a great transition from nose to palate to finish. Nose gives off a nice toasty oak with sweet caramel and vanilla. It’s very light in the mouth with a great balance of the sweet and toasty oak. The finish gives just enough spice to give a warm linger without losing its smoothness. This is a great pour. 8.9/1059.99 USD per Bottle -
1/11/19 - I like the nose up front but the rest seems a little young and may need a little while to open up. I bet in a month or so this will really be nice. The finish does linger, which is nice. 6.7/10 now, but could go up UPDATE 2/25/19 Wow, this has really changed, for the better! The nose is root beer-like that’s sweet, some vanilla and honey. The palate is smooth with a little sting and the sweetness still present from the nose. The finish is definitely delivers way better than before. Less spice, root beer taste comes through with a end reminding you of the wood and heat for a slight hug. This got really, really good. 8.8/1049.99 USD per Bottle

Great daily drinker under $30 Nose is like a smoky oaky fire pit , cinnamon, and some sweetness with vanilla. Not much astringency at all. Palate coats the mouth nicely, and is similar to the nose but with some spice/heat. The finish continues the theme and really lingers nicely. I really like this for the price. 7.9/1031.0 USD per Bottle

Hunter & Scott Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Virginia, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2019 (edited March 29, 2021)Really funky taste with this one. It’s smooth, but the plasticy-bitter taste is really off putting. Don’t know what happened here. Tastes very, very young. Not a fan. 2/1044.99 USD per Bottle -
Hancock's President's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2019 (edited September 10, 2019)Big difference after about a month after you open the bottle. The nose early on can be a little harsh/astringent, but it opens up to a nice sweet fruity nose, light spice, and new wood. Palate is similar with more pepper and coats the mouth well. Finish is very smooth with a balanced sweetness and spicyness. 8.1/1040.0 USD per Bottle -
Fighting Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon (NAS)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2019 (edited December 16, 2019)For $16, this is the best value in bourbon! Sweet nose, with some alcohol to let you know this will give you a kick. Vanilla for sure with a faint hint of citrus and new oak. Palate is solid, full body with the sweetness continuing. Great spice on the finish and this has a great finish! Well balanced and an amazing value! 8.2/1016.99 USD per Bottle -
