Double Black is my least favorite Johnnie Walker. It has an ash flavor. Prefer black label and Would go with red label for something sweeter. Still need to try green though.

I get a lot of sweetness and tequila flavor, which I like. But as a scotch it’s ok 2.75, good value bumps it to 3.0. The black label is better/more scotch than tequila.

It tastes great 5.0, but the 12 year is almost as good and less than half the price so I have to knock it down to 4.75

Taste alone is 4.0, price/value bumps it to 4.25, I like the 18 year better but it costs more than double/not worth it.

Taste is good for an Irish 3.75, and value puts it at 4.0, only negative is the finish could be better.

I tried it alongside Buffalo trace. They are very similar, Taylor is just stronger. Think I prefer Buffalo trace for price and availability. I got this at MSRP but I had to spend the night at an abc store with below freezing temps. Wouldn’t do that again.

Good bourbon. Nothing unique/special.

It’s really good. I like this over the regular bourbon and rye, but haven’t had barrel proof yet. I prefer woodford reserve double oak over this. Which only cost a little more and is readily available.

It’s good. Maybe a pinch too sweet. Prefer sazarac rye for its balance. For a spicy rye I prefer knob creek rye for the same price range.
