I have never had a bourbon that disappointed me as much as this one did. I was warned by several people that BT was a very hit-or-miss proposition. They were not wrong. It is said that if you get the right bottle you get a treasure. If not, you get a very pedestrian bourbon. I got the latter. I am a big fan of consistency. When I plunk down some money I want to know what I am getting. This is not the case with BT and as such I will not purchase again. The funny thing is that my Weller (which I love) is bottled at the Buffalo Trace distillery. I prefer wheated bourbons over BT Mash #1 and that probably plays into this as much as anything else.41.99 USD per Bottle

A friend recommended this to me. I generally do not like whisky (but I love bourbon...) but he was insistent that I try it. I was not disappointed. When I want something that is a little different than Kentucky bourbon, I reach for this. Smooth with a little burn. A splash of water opens it up and cools it down. Permanent resident on my liquor shelf.32.99 USD per Bottle

Rieger's Kansas City Whiskey
Other Whiskey — Indiana (bottled in Missouri), USA
Reviewed February 13, 2020I was a bit disappointed with this. Not really sure why but sometimes a reason is not needed. For the $17.99 it cost I felt it was worth a shot. I will keep it around but it is not spectacular.17.99 USD per Bottle -
Maker's Mark Cask Strength
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 13, 2020 (edited March 14, 2020)Sometimes I think that if a spirit tasted the same way it smells life would be fabulous. The nose gives a hint about what is inside the bottle. Granted a laege portion of our tasting happens with our nose, but still...MMCS smells like an amazing bakery. It truly does. Taste is VERY alcohol forward. What I wound up doing was leaving the bottle open for a few days and that seemed to help but it could use some more 'open-air time'. Beyond that, MMCS is a very good pour. While I did not like regular MM, I do like this. I will definitely buy another bottle.52.99 USD per Bottle -
Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 13, 2020 (edited November 4, 2020)Let me start with saying that overall I like this bourbon. I have a preference for wheated bourbons so this absolutely fits the bill. My first thought when I opened the bottle was that mixed with the great aromas there was also a little too much alcohol. In spite of that I carried on. It was funny because my first glass was 'okay'. The next day I was at my local cigar lounge and I brought o few ounces of this along to have with my cigar. I had a bit of cotton-mouth so I had some concern...I really shouldn't have because this bourbon plus my awesome Padron 1926 Series cigar was OUTSTANDING. I was lucky that when I purchased this ($19.99 per bottle x 3) the owner of the store didn't know anything about bourbon. I bought all of his bottles (3). I highly recommend Weller.19.99 USD per Bottle -
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Tawny Port Wine Barrels (2020 Cellar Collection)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 13, 2020 (edited May 22, 2020)I enjoyed the smoothness. There was a little burn but nothing a rock or two or a splash of water wouldn't handle. I am on my third bottle of this bourbon. It has a permanent place on my liquor shelf.49.99 USD per Bottle
