Purchased at McMenamins Edgefield because I wanted to try one of their spirits and the bottle was small enough for low committment. Didn’t see the flavor description until I tasted it and the hopps were very apparent. I liked it a lot because its a unique combo of sweet, bitter, and a little sour. But I have been looking for that combo since I tried it from Corsair. I think Corsair was better but this was really nice and unique.

I finished it before I wrote any notes. Friends helped me finish it even faster. I guess thats a pretty good indication of how much I liked it (until I get my hands on it again).

Dries fruit hits hard up front! Cherries, raisins, and raspberries. Then peppery chocolate. It smells like cinnamon, ginger, and oatmeal. The lingering flavor is like toasted grains and vanilla. Not super complex but a nice warm and deep flavor.

Spicy burn at first but mellows quickly to a really full, smooth vanilla and caramel finish without being too sweet.

Lightly peated. Rich and spicy, with sweet and bitter notes of toasted wood and light hints of sherry. Less burn with water, which allows for the more subtle flavors to come through. Easy sipping.

Beautiful color! Not oily still full with so much going on. The peat smoke is pronounced up front but does not overwhelm the background of fruit. The flavor matches the aroma. It’s gently peaty with fruit, spices, and a light salty finish. There’s a hint of bacon and then cherries, currants, sweet wood, bitter orange, and salty brine. Smoother with water. I enjoy this a lot.

Strong deep flavor of orange, dried fruit, raisins, and sherry. Spicy up front and then leaves behind a little smoke and bitter maltiness. It’s quite good, would drink again.

Nutty with sherry and orange peel. Heat at first dissipates to creamy florals, fruits, and light grassy notes. Lingers nicely.

Sherry on the nose and in taste pairs well with florals and fruit. The sweetness is balanced by woodiness and slight smokiness. It’s mellow and smooth with a lot of depth. I’m a fan.
