Very harsh at first, but after adding a good dash of water it became very pleasant. Plenty of smoke without it becoming overpowering.

Originally did not like this as much as the classic 12 in sherry casks, but after having more I now actually prefer this one. Did a blind taste test and this one won. Very similar to the sherry cask in overall character though.

needs some water or ice to mellow this one out. I don't recommend drinking this neat. one your add the ice though it becomes quite a decent drink.
