Tastes

It’s ok. Not much depth to it. A soft rye nose. Very short finish. A little rye spice. I get earthy tones to it. Maybe the farm is playing tricks on my palate. I would pass on this one.

This is very good. Typical straight rye with a sweet start and a spicy finish. Moderate to long finish. Very good rye. Not at as good as a Willet family estate 4 year. I would bye at a retail price.

This is good. Drinks hotter than the proof. Get cinnamon and leather on the palate with a long finish. Not sure it is worth the price. Better options for less money.

This was surprisingly good. Last time I had this I did not like it. The beauty of single of barrels. This had a nice peanut taste. Reminded me of Bakers. With a great finish for the low proof. I would say this bottle is a gamble. Could be great and could be bad.

This was so much better than the last barrel pick I had. Smells like wild turkey. Had a nice smooth and sweet start ending in that wild turkey funk with a moderate finish. Buy this one. All dependent on who picked the barrel.

This is amazingly good for a two year rye. Very sweet on the front with that rye on the back. Almost reminds me of a toasted finish Michters or a Willet family estate rye. Moderate to long finish. I would buy even at 100 bucks.

This is good. Nice oak on it. Think it must be on the older side. Long finish. It has a creamy mouthfeel. Not overly sweet. Good spice. I would buy.

This is good stuff. Very sweet start and a long spicy finish. Very pricy given the bottle size. However, I would buy it.

This is not bad. But not good either. It has an overpowering black cherry note. Drinks easy. Bourbon can’t shine through the cherry. Would not buy it. Try it in a bar first.

It’s ok. Very easy to drink. Strong rum characters to this. Short finish. Sweet.
