Honey, orange with a delightful brine and smoky character upfront and vanilla at the back. A bit heavy and hot to my taste, but very well-rounded. Classic.

Maritime, savory, peaty with a sweet caramel center. Balanced, complex and delicious.

Vanilla, cream and toffee upfront with a drop of cough medicine. Perfumy, light and holding a lasting fruity, pleasant aftertaste.

Briny, peaty and woody upfront, there is a salient heat coming through the nose and tongue that give it an unneeded but welcomed oomph.

Hot, tangy, rich in citrusy and orange-y like aromatics with vanilla and toffee upfront. Finish is long and elegant. On the mouth the heat isn't as noticeable although the whisky tastes considerably greener.

Gamey, meaty, smokey, baconey. Get the idea? The wood influence is very noticeable and deep in complexity. Doesn't dethrone Laphroaig as the King of South Islay, but what does really? Amazing whisky.

To my taste, there is nothing more divine on a bargain. Immensely complex on the nose and mouth, especially considering the affordable pricing. There's bacon, smoke, brininess and a medicinal touch at the tongue and nose. Adding a few drops of water will do wonders, letting some notes of butter, lime, orange peel and rose petals show through. Purely judging on a QPR standpoint there is simply no better scotch out there.
