Bubbles pick in KCMO - 8.5 y/o Chocolate covered cherries, vanilla, slight peanut on the nose Taste follows but adds a bit of a vegetal note Finish is short to medium. 3.5/5

Super impressed with Rieger's first all distillery release! Nose is all cinnamon apple spice 😋 Palate is Bold classic rye: spice, grass, creamy apple cinnamon. Medium finish, not as crisp as some ryes but not as long and heavy as some bourbon The 6 year age statement is just 😘👌

Huge step up from the old 1783. Tobacco, vanilla, caramel, oak, some dark fruits. Heavy hitter in that $20-30 range. And it's on the cheaper end! Much prefer this to EC small batch. Idk if it's better than buffalo trace though.

Vanilla, chocolate, red berries. Bit of oak, malt sweetness

Nose - Vanilla, Butterscotch, Caramel, Apple, Peaches and cream, faint oak but almost like a french oak (even though it's American oak) Palate - very similar to the nose with the apple/peaches and cream leading the way with butterscotch punching in too. Creamy. Finish - medium, the creaminess is what carries it out

Pepper spice. Some cinnamon. Hints of usual rye anise, mint, hay. Dry definitely not sweet but some apple/stone fruit notes as well. This is a pretty solid contender for the popular ryes right now. If it were aged a bit longer in barrels I can imagine it being doted on alongside willet and whistlepig. Would 100% buy again at $51

Oily, baking chocolate, baking spices. Carmel but heavy. It's weller SR ramped up to 11

Nose is Big Grass/Hay notes. Green apple. Some tropical fruit. Chocolate-carmel and slight menthol mint Taste follows but adds spices like cloves and cinnamon. Probably my favorite Rye I've had so far
