Definitely better than the traditional offering, a bit smoother and more complex, although more “sippable”, I don’t think that it’s worth almost double the price.

Arguably, the most popular Canadian whisky, it’s definitely basic, works well with coke or ginger ale, since it’s affordable it’s usually a safe bet.

Entry level Canadian whisky, for under $30 CAD, it’s alright for mixing.

This was actually drinkable, not terrible neat but not particularly impressive either. The quality-price ratio is not so bad, specially if you can drink it neat or on ice. For mixing, it would be a waste of money. It wasn’t interesting enough for me to sip it so, I’d pass next time.

This is an experiment so, you might either love it or hate it… In my opinion, it wasn’t worth it.

It’s alright for mixing, nothing extraordinary, you would be better off buying a decent rum for the value instead.

Probably, the best thing about this is the volume-price ratio. It tastes like your average Canadian whisky which may be what you want. It’s not the worst, specially when mixed, but, it’s not particularly good either.

A 2022 IWSC 99-pointer Scotch, at an affordable price, definitely sounds like a great deal. However, after trying it, it didn’t deliver to the high expectations. It is, indeed, a good all-around Whisky, well-balanced with just enough complexity though.

Very rich and smooth, a little on the sweet side, lots of oak and Sherry notes, perhaps a bit too much but, that’s also the beauty of it.
