Tastes

Excellent pour. The higher proof gives a nice warm feeling on the mouth and slightly in the chest! Mint flavors follow me with this. First on the nose, then at the first portion of the mouth. I get a strong orange zest similar to another review, as well as subtle nutmeg.

Single barrel with the slightly higher proof delivers a warm feeling. I get darker fruits from the nose. The finish has spice, but I get distinct notes of hazelnut. Delicious stuff!

By no means an expert, but here’s my take: A sweeter rye, and not too harsh for 109 proof. Notes of licorice, dark chocolate.
