Tastes

The first sip of Oban (a gift from a coworker) introduced me to the pleasures of single malt scotch. It evaporated on my tongue, leaving a nice salty, smoky taste that invited me further into the whiskey world. It is still my go to scotch.

I thought the first sip was thin, but enjoyed the greater complexity further into the pour. Nice smoke that I enjoy and some toffee in the middle. Great value to repeat.

Definite smoky peat to start and pepper on finish. Light and smooth on palate.
