I really like Trail's End, which is another bourbon finished with Oregon oak. For the Burnside Bourbon, I think it's a little younger and a maybe a little too oaky for my taste. Caramel, heavy wood notes, and a little too rough on the finish.
Too oily and too much burn for my taste. Not pleasant for more than two sips. And if I need to mix it, I could use something a little smoother and cheaper.
Solid bourbon. It's a little one dimensional to my tastes (just mild sugar and wood notes to my tongue), but I would easily have this at a bar if nothing else were available.
A smooth, drinkable, everyday bourbon with a touch more depth than Jim Beam White. Non chill filtered gives it a more buttery mouth feel. In short: It’s a better Jim Beam White.
