Actually pretty bad. I had a 50 mL sample and it was really vile. I would drink Jim Beam over this. There were no standard bourbon flavors, just alcohol and grassy/floral notes.

I had some of the newer 2020 release, 86 proof, non-chill filtered rye whiskey and it's nice. Definitely, a keeper for the daily sipper shelf. Spicy rye, sweet corn notes, and then an oily/creamy finish characteristic of non-chill filtered. There is a bit of a lingering woodiness and a slightly citrusy/fruit skin taste in the finish.

I've been looking for a Canadian whiskey with flavor and this one satisfied the bill. Still has that sweet note of most Canadian whiskeys, but more toasty/woody notes. Higher proof (90) than most other Canadians on the shelves too. The finish is also very smooth and it goes down easy for a higher proof liquor.

Pretty average. Impressive bottle at least -- it looks elegant. However, it's pretty light on flavor. It has the standard smoothness of most Canadian whiskeys with the sweet notes, but not much else. It's drinkable, but I would not buy another.

Not a bad Canadian whisk(e)y. Most Canadian whiskeys, especially blended, are extremely smooth with sweet notes and some wood (think "sweet" maple vs smoky oaky notes... aligned with what Canadians like), but rather light on flavor than robust American bourbons/whiskeys. Kirkland's maintains the smoothness and sweet notes, but you do get more wood (at least for my palate) in the finish, probably from the aging in oak casks. There is still that hint of maple notes as well. Works well as a mixer, but still good neat or on the rocks when you don't want something heavy. Note: Some folks think this comes from the same distilleries that make Crown Royal (a Diageo company). But at least with the recent bottles, that can't be the case. If you look on the bottle, it comes from "Wide World Importers, Louisville, KY" which is an alternative business name for Buffalo Trace/Sazerac. So it CAN'T be from the same place as Crown Royal since Diageo and Sazerac are competitors.

Solid inexpensive bourbon. Has the standard sweetness of the corn with a touch of spice and smokiness.

It’s tastes like diluted bourbon. Mix it.

Great everyday sipper. Nice rye notes.

One note flavor. Smoother than white label but probably wouldn’t buy this again vs comparable priced OGD BIB

Very smooth. Very crisp bourbon. If someone asked me what does bourbon taste like, this is the archetype.
