The Ileach Peaty
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 20, 2020 (edited December 21, 2020)On the nose there is not much peat or smoke to be found but it is there. At first taste it is a nice sweet entrée that moves into a bit of a spice bite, but doesn't go to far as to make it unpleasant, after the spice the smokyness really starts to shine and keeps this going even in the later aftertaste. To me this is a very pleasant one, nothing too WOW but a solid choice, especially for the price.25.0 EUR per Bottle -
The smoke scent is akin to that of smoked ham. In taste it's slightly sweet but overall it's smoke and peat that lives here. It's taste is incredibly pleasant and feels just right. The aftertaste sticks around for a decent while which makes the enjoyment last long. Currently my favorite on the shelf.

Jura 10 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed September 12, 2020 (edited September 13, 2020)On the nose I get a strong wiff of apple and vanilla. The taste is much less smokey than I expected, but sweet and quite pleasant. The aftertaste is a bit spicy and the smoke is present but negligible. Overall this one is quite decent.
