    Wow - smoke hits strongly on this. Band aids? It definitely has a strong nose and some strong tastes. Update - the intensity tones down and you can get more of the flavour after a drop or two of water. I enjoyed it more after that.

    This whisky changes on the tongue in a very interesting way. Not always my favourite flavours, but I give it credit for being a very interesting dram. Update: adding a drop of water transformed the tastes as well. Would recommend trying it, if for nothing else then seeing how it changes.

    Decent, but not my favourite. The flavours don’t blend particularly well for me - would prefer a different Islay in its place.

    Not as smokey as I was expecting from a Caol Ila. A well balanced whisky, nothing stands out too strongly to me.

    A very approachable, with some great flavours. A buttery vanilla, with just the right balance of smoke for me.

    I like the nose, but can’t quite place it. The palate hits me with butter popcorn jelly beans with a little bit of grass and spice.

    Starts with a strong woody depth, but morphs into a salted butter, maybe fudgy flavour. The transformation is very interesting.

    Very soft feeling, a little oily / buttery? Tastes of shortbread. Does have a strong burn, so a little less smooth than some. Overall very enjoyable.
