Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 25, 2017 (edited December 29, 2017)Good value for money. Nice, round dram with fruits and vanilla and a very light peat finish. Finish lingers quite a while for a young whisky. -
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 18, 2017Vanilla and brown sugar on the nose. Palate sweet and oaky, we Th a nice warm fireplace feel to it. Not very complex, finish basically non-existent. Nevertheless, excellent for the price and punches much about its weight. 3.5/5 -
Glenfiddich Project XX
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 29, 2017 (edited December 8, 2017)3.5, really. On the palate, green apples and candied fruits, followed by strong spice. Slightly oily, with a little Terpentine, but in a good way. Super long finish, mainly of the Terpentine. -
Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky
Single Grain — Western Cape, South Africa
Reviewed October 22, 2017 (edited October 26, 2017)Simple, but decent whisky. First one with such an oily profile I’ve encountered. Very sweet bourbon with bold vanilla and banana on the palate. Also my first South African dram, so might be worth to pick up again on the next trip down there.
