Bulleit Rye
Rye — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USA
Reviewed September 18, 2019 (edited November 2, 2019)Nose: Quite a strong aroma, really perfumey and herbal. Rye, tobacco, dill, honey, oak, and peaches are the main notes. Other notes include varnish, raspberries, and a citrus peel. Taste: Much like the aroma, although I can taste some smoke and different spices. Finish: Slight burn but altogether has a very strong (if not overwhelming) body from the florescence and perfume. Turns tart on the palette.35.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: oak barrel char, strong alcohol scent, hot cinnamon, leather, vanilla, candy-corn, and brown sugar. Taste: Much like the nose. Charred oak barrel, some subtle chocolate, spices, cinnamon, leather, buttery caramel, tobacco. Interestingly, the candy-corn and vanilla play a key part together for the sweet side, while the other notes help give the strong alcohol a dynamic kick on the other side. Finishes with that lovely charred barrel and spices. Overall, has an excellent spicy character and such a great collection of different notes on the palette and finish.59.99 USD per Bottle

Smell: Oak, cherries, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, raisins, dried fruit, powdered sugar, apples. Taste: sweet tasting corn, fine oak, some subtle spices, apples, vanilla, sourdough bread. Feels and tastes kind of syrupy, but altogether aromatic, full, rich, and sweet. It goes without saying that this is a really good 10 year bourbon for such a low price.31.0 USD per Bottle
