Blind Test: Larceny Barrel Proof Nose: oak, baking spice, earthy, caramel Taste: definitely higher proof, I’m guessing 120+. Very oaky, with a bit of caramel, vanilla, and spice. Finish: cinnamon, oak, baking spice. Overall: the oak profile is the main flavor throughout. Not bad, but not complex. Score: 3.75/5

Blind Test Nose: very light, baking spice Taste: caramel and vanilla Finish: cinnamon and caramel. Overall: very light, but tasty. Guessing 100 proof Score:3.5/5

Blind Test calumet farm single rack black Nose: sweet, caramel Taste: smooth, sweet, brown sugar, caramel, citrus, Finish: cinnamon and spice. Vanilla. Overall: guessing 100 proof. very smooth, sweet, and caramel. Score: 4/5

Blind Test: Willett Small Batch Straight Rye Whiskey Nose: sweet, but also a savory oak note. Caramel. Maybe a hint of mineral that I don’t find all that appealing. Taste: spicy, peppery, oak. Guessing it is over 100 proof. Finish: cinnamon, pepper, Overall: some may love this, but it just isn’t my taste profile. Score: 2.75/5

Blind Test: Old Forester 1920 Nose: earthy, oak, Taste: very warm and thick, with deep earthy oak notes without being too bitter. Guessing this is a cask strength. Definitely some spiceyness here as well. Finish: those oaky, spiced notes follow through here. Overall: very warm and savory, and very tasty as well. Score: 4/5

Blind Test: Blue Run Reflection 1 Nose: caramel, very light, Taste: caramel, brown sugar, very sweet, but a little peppery spice as well. Finish: that caramel note really comes out in the finish, and fades to a peppery cinnamon. Overall: while not complex, this is very tasty and easy to drink. I’m guessing that the proof is in the 90’s. Score: 3.75/5

Blind Test: Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Nose: fruit, sweet, baking spice, brown sugar Taste: oak, brown sugar, sweet, vanilla, , some light citrus, smooth. I’m guessing around 100 proof, maybe under. Finish: finish is good but short. All the flavors follow through. Overall: very tasty and nuanced. Score: 4/5

Blind Test: Calumet Bull Lea 10 Nose: light and fruity. Taste: low proof, probably around 90. Sweet, caramel, vanilla. Not the most flavorful. Finish: caramel and cinnamon. Overall: this is totally fine, very easy to sip, but nothing special. Score: 3.5/5
