The best of the 12 and 10 (ceobanach). Peaty, salty, medicinal — the last two not normally my favorites but the cask strength seems to help it; the strong elements are all in competition. There’s a light sweetness behind it. All told it’s good but I wouldn’t want a whole bottle.

Surprisingly good out of the gate (I didn’t think much of the 12 year). Peaty but light, with subtle sweetness and some saltiness/medicinal quality, which is a bit too much in the backend.

Slightly smoky, but more rich. Harsh/burn. A little water helps, but the elements aren’t really in harmony in my opinion. A bit salty. Grows on you a bit with some time/opens up. Elements blend more, though still feel the burn at the end.
