Very smooth and balanced. Hints of all things whiskey can be found. I’ve seen this priced at $200 and that’s ridiculous but this is nonetheless a premium pour.

The quintessential Speyside. “Nuff said.

Excellent rye. The texture is king as this is a step below being described as chewy but thick and warm and peppery. Probably my favorite rye though with the age statement being removed and replaced with “Patiently Aged” I expect the quality to begin to decrease.

Such a manly scotch. Rich and peaty with amazing mouthfeel. A quintessential expression.

Nutty, aggressive and just awesome. Always will I have a soft spot for this gem. Price point : flavor ratio is unbelievable. Wild turkey I will always be a fan. I prefer this to russels reserve 10 and Kentucky spirit even without the price discrepancy.

Nose and initial flavor burst is all green apple and pear with a touch of honeydew, honey, and marshmallow. The sharp tang from the copper is prevalent as well as a distinct minerality. It’s good but a little too tame. Water or ice would make this disappear.

Kind of thin. Caramel apple and butterscotch. Decent but forgettable and the packaging is a smokescreen as to what’s inside. I hate lack of transparency.

Bottled 2015. Opened 1-15–2018. After being open for a year the flavor has taken a sharp decline. Hot Cinnamon and dill have taken over and the combination is off-putting. I really enjoyed this last year but Im afraid I’ve let it sit too long. The spice and ethanol ratio is unbalanced and kind of awful.

I know the approach here is unorthodox but this is undeniably good juice. Sherry is strong, it’s hot but smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Well done.

Hot and buttery. Dill aroma but the taste is all candy corn, butterscotch and caramel. Damn good.
