Sipping this is a real experience in contradictions hot and spicy yet sweet and smooth. I don’t quite understand it! Makes for a decent neat drink. Not great but good enough to really enjoy.

So tasty, so smooth. From nose through palate to finish. So glad I found this and even more glad I pulled the trigger on this bottle!

The nose does not at all belie the rush of delightful flavors that hit the palate and linger throughout the finish.

Has a nice nose and sweetish caramel apple in the palate but then fades into flatness that just disappears, leaving me wanting more

Somehow this bottle is a perfect balance of sweet on the nose and palate while finishing witht a little bit of spice. I got this as a gift and it’s almost gone. I am definitely keeping an eye out for another bottle!

I’ve tried and tried. Tastes like dead, rotting fish. Like the worst parts of the Sazerac Rye condensed. I may even pour out this bottle, but not yet. Will keep trying…

I gave this a 4-star not because it’s so amazing, but it’s so consistently good and so accesible to purchase from both a price point and availability. If I had to trim my cabinet to just 15 bottles to keep consistently, this would be on the list.

Smokey cigars on the nose and lots of flavors that as I identify individually I think are terrible. BUT… this is the paradigm of the adage, “sum of the parts is greater than the whole.” Comes off so much better than expected. Very soft and smooth, probably the result of the relatively low abv, but, whatever, it works…
