Tomatin Cuatro Series #4 "Pedro Ximenez" 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 4, 2021now open for 12 months and the alcohol burn has somewhat subsided a bit but I have to say its just not that memorable of a whisky. It shows poor cask selection. Will not be buying again. -
Springbank 12 Year Cask Strength
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed January 31, 2021 (edited March 27, 2021)My bottle is Batch 18 @ 54.8 % Now open for 12 1/2 months now and has gone completely flat. I was thinking of throwing away but I'll keep and blend in a different fresher malt to try to save. As I stated before this bottle was never good so I believe there must be a quality issue at the distillery as so many rave about this bottle but unfortunately I would never buy another whole bottle. The 15 year old I just finished a 15 and it was delicious. -
Laphroaig Càirdeas 2019 Triple Wood Cask Strength
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 15, 2021This is very good for the price point. Wish it was a regular offering! -
Glentauchers 2008 8 Year (The Exclusive Malts)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 3, 2021I have the 107 Proof bottling. It was very harsh at popping the cork and now after being opened for 12 months its fairly good watered down to 86 proof. Didn't experience the super high rating here but definitely would buy again at the right price.
