Cameronbridge 1991 27 Year Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Single Grain — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 27, 2021This was my first Grain Whisky and first 27 year. Initially I thought I wasted my money and said never again as it was quite a good value for a 27 year. It took over 6-8 months to start opening up but once it did I was quite amazed by the transformation. This confirmed my journey into old grain whisky! -

I'm not tasting that much cask influence. I was hoping to love this one but unfortunately its over hyped and just not that memorable as the quality is fairly low but the bottle presentation looks quality but I will noy be buying any more young spirits from Billy Walker! Hard to believe a bottle can go flat after such a short time but thats the only thing I can attribute this tasting to. I'll think I will gas this now and check back in the future to get a new tasting perspective.
