Glenallachie 10 Year Cask Strength Batch 3
Single Malt — Speyside , Scotland
Reviewed May 17, 2021 (edited July 22, 2021)Open Date = 12-1-20120 Tasting Date = 5-17-2021 weeks open = 22 weeks Tasting proof = 92 Bottle Fill = half bottle. Tasty but still fairly strong alcohol burn watered to 92. Young whisky and a bit over-hyped in my opinion. Would probably be amazing @ 18 years but you get what you pay for and you never get what you don't pay for...........Slainte' -
Open Date 2-17-2012 Tasting date 5-17-2021 This is my 3rd review and after 3 months being opened and @ 1/4 bottle left it has finally opened up to an acceptable taste profile for mu palate . But still I will say again...... Why would I buy this young newmake when I can buy Ardbeg 10 for the same price that blows this away by a large margin? I'm just hoping this lower quality product isn't in place to replace the 10 year old. That would be a tragedy against mankind! Buy again? = No way!

Open Date 2-17-2012 Tasting date 5-4-2021 Have to take my score down a bit more for this second tasting.Young and not feeling it here. Why would I buy this young new make when I can buy Ardbeg 10 for the same price that blows this away by a large margin? I'm just hoping this lower quality product isn't in place to replace the 10 year old. That would be a tragedy against mankind!I fear that Ardbeg is coming out with this product to stop production or increase the price of Ardbeg 10. To my palate this is a young poor quality product. Maybe @ $25 would be OK. Buy again? = No way!

Kirkland 23 Year Speyside Single Malt Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 26, 2021 (edited January 26, 2022)Open Date 3/2/2021 Review date 4/26/2021 (after many tastings) Very cheap product. Whoever the buyer is @ Costco got taken to the cleaners by Alexander Murray % Company and obviously has no quality Scotch experience. Very thin on the palate. More like Sherry water than Sherry Scotch. Thin mouthfeel, and unmemorable finish.Waste of $80! I have 3/4 bottle for sale if anybody wants it.
