I just finished my bottle over the course of 9 months and was very disappointed. My bottle was very lackluster and I was expecting a great bottle from all the high reviews I saw here .There are much lower scores on https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/132155/laphroaig-brodir Possibly I got a poor batch.......not sure.

Open Date 2-17-2012 Tasting date 4-17-2021 Young and not feeling it here. Why would I buy this young newmake when I can buy Ardbeg 10 for the same price that blows this away by a large margin? I'm just hoping this lower quality product isn't in place to replace the 10 year old. That would be a tragedy against mankind! Buy again? = No way!

Glen Scotia 2003 Rum Cask Finish (2019 Campbeltown Malts Festival)
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed April 14, 20214/14/2021 At 7 months now being open and @ 1/2 bottle I'm taking my score down to 3.5 as its only soso now and still has strong alcohol burn even watered to 86. I'm surprised I gave it a 4 when first opened so possible my palate is also changing. At this point I would not buy this again. Very unmemorable and not worth buying again. Life is to short. -
Arran Amarone Cask Finish Single Malt
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed April 6, 2021 (edited December 8, 2021)Open = 8-24-2020 Tasting = 4-6-2021 I have been holding off on this written tasting as I have already had over half this bottle and was hoping it was going to open up to be better to match the amazing high score here on Distiller. I'm sad to say after over 7 months being opened I can only rate it a 3.25. I'm very disappointed in this one and not sure if its cask/quality variations but this bottle I have is not the highly rated one here. Sadly I bought 2 bottles because of the high rating. Anyone interested??? -

Kirkland 23 Year Speyside Single Malt Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 30, 2021 (edited July 9, 2021)Open Date 3-1-2021 Review Date 4-1-2021 Bottle Contents Just below the shoulder @ top of Kirkland Label What can I say but I am totally disappointed at this early review of only 4 weeks open but below shoulder. This has less luster than a Loch Lomond 12 swill whisky. I see that this is bottled for Costco by Alexander Murray and company. Based on the Ultra low quality of this spriit I will never purchase anything from this independent bottle. This inferior product just hurts their brand and makes any serious Scotch fan go to Signatory Vintage products even more. This has the alcohol burn of a cheap whisky half its stated age. Is it really 23 years old? Its hard to believe. I wonder how much food color is in this whisky? From all the high reviews I was expecting something very tasty but my bottle at least this is shite! -
