Tastes

It's very good. I do not think the notoriety around it is deserved, but for a readily available single barrel you can't go wrong. Unfortunately Japan (rightfully so) has a corner on all exports of it.

One of my all time favorites. Would probably pay into the ~$65 range for it. One of the darkest bourbons you'll see but once you taste it you'll understand why it's so good. Very abrasive on the pallet, but once opened is a whole new experience.

Fantastic starter rye. Wild turkey does a great bourbon and also rye. For only having 2 mash bills they're really pushing what can be done with both

Very fig, cranberry taste. I assume it's ~2 years old. Fairly impressed for a brewery (and now distillery) to put out a decent product that isn't MGP, as far as I know. Honestly wouldn't mind buying a 2nd bottle.

All time favorite. I turn off all taste buds and just become absorbed in the moment. Had '17 and '18 and i will forever seek it out.

A standard rye, someone said that if you let it sit for a while it opens up and I agree with that. At the price there's not many ryes that can rival it

If you like rye and enjoy some funky things this is for you. The port wine added to it gives it a nice sweetness and covers up any abrasiveness. Very dark liquid because of this but easy drinking and a favorite go to

A lot more complex than their standard bourbon, tried blind and thought it tasted/ranked in the 50-60 dollar range

It's definitely bourbon. Not very complex on the nose or the flavor. very solid for $34
