Agree with overall review. Wish it had more power to live up to the name. Peat immediately then citrus on nose. Slightly Briny but not prominent in the mouth. Fruits like pear also appear. Nice finish, not feeling as spicy as noted but definitely dry. Love the peat on finish. Smoky but not a bomb like Ardbeg. Reminds me of Benromach Organic/Wood but significantly more peat forward. Priced at about $35. Good buy if you don't want to spend more on Lagavulin 8 or other full bodied Islay's. Great intro to classic Peated Scotch for the price.

Was recommended as one of the best BPf Bourbons out there. May not be the best but definitely in my top 5. The sweet caramelized finished and profound oak notes highlight this Beast of Bourbon. It's packs a punch but the smooth rolling finish hides the proof well. Do not hesitate to try this if you are a barrel proof/Cask Strength drinker. Y'all did the Colonel proud.

I don't give 5's soooo here we are. The taste is reminiscent of a fresh cigar or that favorite leather jacket that your dog decided to make his new chew toy. I also seem to get a slight nuttiness mixed with the tobacco. Sweet/Spiced nose with Vanilla. Wish the finish lingered longer though. Chew on my friends if you get the chance. Chew on.

Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey (2015 Release)
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed August 11, 2018Nose:corn and slight brown sugar are expressed. Second smell: thanks to comments...bananas. Most evident corn followed by banana. Palate: Sweet with slight bite, cornmeal and vanilla exert themselves. Finish: smooth as molasses and we'll rounded, lingering cornmeal makes me picture Texas Cornfields and sunshine. Chainsaw Massacre not included. -

Finish, little to no burn for the high Rye bill...(Still less sign. than 20%). Good but wish the bite of Rye came through a little fuller.34.5 USD per Bottle
