Bushmills 28 Year The Rare Casks Cognac Cask Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed December 31, 2020 (edited May 12, 2024)This is the best Bushmills I've had by far. Its a perfect blend, quite sweet but there is still that caramel background from the bourbon barrels. The cognac cask mixing with this delicious juice for 17 years really sets it apart from any Irish dram I've experienced. Closest I can compare it to is Glenlivet 25. Do not pass up a chance to get this bottle!!500.0 USD per Bottle -
At the price point of ~$30/700mL this whisky feels like a steal. Every time I make an order from Japan I throw in a bottle of the yellow, black, or white label. It's cheap and the taste is way above its price. The black is the best of the group in my opinion. The yellow is lighter in color and flavor, but is an excellent value that is impossible to pass up if available for <$40.30.0 USD per Bottle

SR12 is a delicious bottle of pure Japanese whisky. There are 4 different labels: white, black, blue, and gold. I am not positive if there is any difference in the bottles, but the black label is excellent. I have a gold SR12 I still need to open and another black SR12 on the way from Japan along with a blue label bottle. SR15 is smoother, but SR12 is still better than Hibiki and it's on the same level as Crest 12. It is sweet with a little more burn than SR15, but still very smooth. If you can get a bottle from Japan then buy it. The entire Suntory Royal line won't let you down!80.0 USD per Bottle

I have a bottle of this imported from Japan. It is an excellent Japanese whisky. It is a gold orange in color, nice and sweet, no harsh flavors at all. A very nice malt taste that is delicate and very smooth. You can taste the sherry in this bottle. The Suntory Royal line is excellent all around from the base SR to SR12 and this bottle of SR15. Both SR12 and SR15 were released in 97 and I am not positive if it is still produced today, but bottles are still accessible on occasion from Japan.100.0 USD per Bottle

Glenlivet Founder's Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 25, 2020 (edited May 11, 2020)Excellent scotch for the price. In my experience so far it cannot be beaten for price to quality ratio. Very smooth and sweet just as a Glenlivet should be. I could drink this every day all day long.30.0 USD per Bottle -
I was accidentally sent a bottle of this when I ordered a bottle of Hennessy Paradis online, so I do not have the bias of spending $3000 on the bottle. I'm not sure you can get a more perfect cognac than Paradis Imperial. The taste is lighter and more petite than any other Hennessy I've had, yet still manages to bring fantastic flavor with it. The packaging and crystal bottle are phenomenal as well. If you can afford it, then it definitely needs to be in your cabinet; if not, there are much cheaper options that taste almost as good.800.0 USD per Bottle

This is an odd Scotch which almost tastes like a very good cognac (no complaints here) . It's wonderfully done and with beautiful packaging. I scored a bottle for $300 out the door so I had to get it, and luckily I did. Delicious if you love juicer scotchs, if not then it might not be for you.300.0 USD per Bottle

Heaven's Door The Bootleg Series Volume I: Train Tracks
Canadian — Canada
Reviewed February 10, 2020 (edited January 6, 2022)Bottle #336/3797 I'm a sucker for anything that has been sitting in Mizunara, but either way this is some good whisky. Very smooth for being 55.75%. You can't miss the Mizunara in this bottle. In my experience most Canadian whiskys are very light on flavor, which is perfect when matching with the Japanese oak. I will say that at a $500 price point, is it quite expensive. The bottle is gorgeous and the packaging is as well, which helps round the price out.500.0 USD per Bottle
