Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 29, 2021 (edited December 10, 2022)Carmel sweet. Some Vanilla. A bit of spice. Less smoke. It’s solid to sip on but not complex on the palette and does not linger for too long -
Glenfiddich Project XX
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 11, 2021 (edited December 10, 2022)Light colored single malt with a more fruity smell. Pear and hints of vanilla and spice. Sharper after drinking with an Alcohol spice bite. Which tappers off followed by a longer oaky finish. Tough one to give a grade to, i will need to come back and sample it again. It is enjoyable but has a lot of things going on. A nice and unique bottle worth a taste. -
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 11, 2021 (edited December 10, 2022)Smells a bit sweet (caramel?), some spice, and ethanol. A deeper color. Thicker, good spice after taste, followed by dry and some smoke and vanilla with some lingering flavor. Nice bottle overall, but the “spice” aftertaste may be a bit strong for some. -
