Tastes

Polarizing, distinct in it's flavor and sharp. A bit jagged going down but unique. This is a very love it or hate it whiskey and not inexpensive.

For a single pot Irish this is fun, agressive, rich and full of flavor. An excelent top shelf Irish whiskey for most anyone. The more you explore it the more there is to unpack.

It is well priced, well rounded, pleasing but in that way that it pleases everyone and doesn't have its own character. An excelent first dram to warm up for a night of more interesting tastes.

Smells infinitly better than it tastes, which at that price is expensive and a pitty. There are more complex and flavorfull blends at half the price. Still, it is iconic and one of a kind.

The smoothest, creamiest Irish single malt I have ever run across. At 53% alcohol there is little to no burn and that number helps evaorate a melody of oils and flavors. A must have for any Irish Whiskey fan and once you tate it the Copper Pot just feels watered down.

Punchier and not as smooth as the Writers Tears Cask Strength but has a richness and complexity while keeping the signiture Writers Tears one of a kind taste.
