Tastes

I've got a batch 4 bottle. Nosing it I get a tart winey smell, with icing sugar developing after a while. strong alcohol throughout. taste is firey, very very rich. Oak-y, charr, banana and spice. it finishes prickly but a banana charr taste stays on the palate for a while.

first nose : instant smokiness, but fresh and not overpowering. some iodine. saltiness. first taste: smokey, rubber hose. second nose: same but added licorice. peppermint. second taste: some subtle sweetness, fresh grassy taste and licorice. third nose: sweetness. cooked fruits! like caramelized pear. finish: fresh smoke and very slight spice. charcoal

n: instant sweetness. honey and maple syrup. also some nuttiness/sherry. Deeper there is some spice, like ginger. t: Arrival is of sweet honey, toasted brown sugar. develops a deep caramel with slight spice. medium length finish with some chocolatey/nutty aftertaste.
