GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 8
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 11, 2021 (edited May 28, 2021)A sixty-one percent cask strength sherry bomb... Great color with a thick, lasting coat and legs for days. Sweet molasses, dark fruits, and a soft spice on the nose - surprisingly subtle for a 60%+ ABV. Rich and spicy on the palate with a prominent bite of oloroso sherry, candied almonds, rich honey, maple syrup, and a mocha coffee finish. Overall, a sharp but well-tamed cask strength dram from the venerable GlenDronach.87.95 USD per Bottle -

Balvenie Single Barrel Sherry Cask 15 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 13, 2021 (edited March 12, 2021)Excellent nose - caramel, honey, marshmallow, dark cherries and a hint of orange peel and lemon zest. The palate packs some heat, but the sherry cask comes through nicely. Dark fruits, nutmeg, rich honey and a slightly bitter vanilla finish. Good sherry cask expression from TB. (AT) -
A nice light golden color, and good legs on the glass. The nose is very subtle, barely sweet, only a hint of smoke. The blends start slow, but open up into a multitude of flavors with vanilla, toffee, cereal, raisins, oak wood and peat. The premium 18 (formerly Platinum) and Blue are some of the best blends in the business! (AT)

Aberlour 18 Year Double Cask Matured

Much like the 16, this vanilla-spiced single malt is packed with dark cherry notes, rum raisin, ripe plum, and hints of oak. An excellent whiskey no doubt, but at half the price the 16 is just as good, if not better. (AT)150.0 USD per Bottle -
