Very malty Finish: Medium finish. Pepper, ginger, malt. Spicy and souring on the aftertaste. Sour, malty and spicy. Hints of tropical fruit and nuts. A lot of sour spices on the aftertaste. Campbeltown Loch Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Blended Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed November 26, 2022 (edited December 8, 2022)Nose: Funky, dry putty, Campino sweets, strawberry laces, vanilla, Cremola foam, floral Finish: Sweet, berries, icing sugar, white pepper, baked fruit, saline, light dry peat smoke Palate: Long finish. Hot and spicy, dried fruit, slight funk/farmyard, ginger, gristy, light oak Not a bad blend from Springbank. All the Springbanks and Glen Scotias are represented. It tastes like an amalgam of Campbeltown but a bit watered down. If you like the Campbeltown profile, it's an interesting blend. On its own it's a decent blend, but, in my opinion, it's not worth the hype. Generally OK.42.0 GBP per Bottle -

GlenAllachie 4 Year Peated Single Malt (Billy Walker 50th Anniversary Future Edition)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed October 23, 2022 (edited August 16, 2023)(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 08 October 2022). Nose: Hot/spicy/alcoholic, fruit and nut, burned wood, apple, hairspray, peat Palate: 'Hot', wet peat, toasted oak, nutty, toffee, vanilla Finish: Long finish. Nutty, pipe smoke, damp peat, toffee, burned wood, sweet and dry on the aftertaste. 160hr fermentation time 1 of 10,000 bottles (worldwide) Ex-rye, bourbon and virgin oak casks Interesting, hot and a bit numbing. Loads of peat and wood smoke. The layers are fantastically diverse. Not necessarily an easy drinker, more of a chin-scratching "interesting" dram than one you'd choose to keep going back to. I would never have guessed that this was a GlenAllachie if it was a blind tasting - very little of their typical character. Came second out of the six drams, with 27% of the final vote for favourite of the night. 80% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.80.0 GBP per BottleThe Good Spirits Co.
