Jura Seven Wood
Peated Single Malt — Islands, ScotlandTastedLeather, tobacco, hardwood smoke. Good oil, but a little harsh on the finish.
After finishing my second bottle of this, I’ve upped my rating to five stars. You will not find a better bottle of scotch for $35.
Speyburn Bradan Orach
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandTastedIn spite of the slight harshness on the finish, you’d be hard pressed to find a better bottle of Scotch for $20. Vanilla and honey on the palette, with a lingering hint of leather and lavender on the finish.
Butterscotch, cedar, and wood smoke. Just a hint of honey. A slow burn and tingle remain. Wonderful.
Suntory Whisky Toki
Blended — JapanTastedRipe peaches and pears and spring flowers on the nose. On the palette, a bit stringent for my taste. Lots of alcohol. Spicy and warm finish.
