Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Nevada, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2022 (edited November 17, 2022)Not great, not bad. I got a lot of vanilla and sweet notes, but not a lot of complexity which isn’t always a bad thing. A decent sipping whiskey that would also hold up in a mix with the slightly higher proof. -
Starward Two-Fold Double Grain
Other Whiskey — Victoria , Australia
Reviewed January 5, 2022 (edited July 17, 2022)Very fruity on the nose with caramel notes. The taste is pretty generic with wood notes and a little spice with a short finish. Not bad, not great. -
Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye Distiller's Edition 92 Proof
Rye — Virginia, USA
Reviewed December 26, 2021Super sweet on the nose with caramel and candied fruits. Kind of sweet on the palate that then turns to a fair amount of spice and a medium long spicy finish. -
Wyoming Whiskey Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Wyoming, USA
Reviewed December 25, 2021 (edited February 23, 2022)Spice. For 44% abv this whiskey is very spicy on the palate with a pretty long finish. There are the generic bourbon flavors of wood and caramel, but again pretty spicy. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it. -
