WhistlePig FarmStock Rye Crop No. 003
Rye — Multiple Countries
Reviewed January 9, 2020 (edited August 8, 2020)not a lot of complexity here - it’s very much a straight rye. spicy. hot. not a lot going on, wish they’d used less of their young distillate. an ehhh value for the $$ I paid, but wouldn’t pay that again.58.0 USD per Bottle -
I was curious to buy this, and finally saw it at my local warehouse. Did not disappoint for the price. I get a lot of similar (but of course a bit less pronounced) notes to the Booker’s Country Ham that I picked up recently. I wonder if the same cooperage was used for some of that batch. This is very nice - a bit hot at first, then mellows out with a lot of wood and fruit. 91/10048.0 USD per Bottle

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-03 "Country Ham"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 19, 2019 (edited February 14, 2020)Fruity, oaky goodness. This is my second time having Booker’s, and first time owning a bottle (can’t pass up $58 at costco!). The last one I had was way before I got into whiskey as deeply as I have now. First pour, watered down with a couple splashes. I get malts, oak wood, vanilla and ripe fruit. Longggg, rich finish - looking forward to working up to sipping this neat. Classic58.0 USD per Bottle
