Tastes

Good burn. Strong oak flavors, producing heavy vanilla flavors. Definitely smokey. Doesn't taste as fruity to me as other Four Roses.

An amazing bottom shelf taste. Can't beat it for the price. As with many higher proof bourbons, the flavor can get lost if you don't know how to draw it out. Good with a splash of limestone water or limestone ice cube.

This is my "go to" whiskey for Friday nights around the fire pit. When I'm not trying other labels, I drink "red head". I usually drink it on the rocks, but it makes a great Old Fashioned as well.

By far, one of my favorite bourbon's for the money. Rich vanilla flavor. Reminds me of my teenage years bumming sips from the old-timer's after dove hunts.
